MultiMediaPointer (MMP)

• Technical Details

We call our proprietary and exclusive equipment "Multi-Media-Pointer" (MMP) for the following reasons:

• video; "i see"

  • Aiming and shooting: switching on a solar cell in the target box by emitting a light pulse

• audio; "i hear"

  • generating shooting sound electronically via a speaker alternatively via a pressurized air cartridge

• sentio; "i feel"

  • we achieved a realistic effect of a recoil by employing innovative technical "gimmicks" and managed to simulate the real shooting experience

The real shooting experience - using innocuous laser pulses

• you will find neither bullets nor live ammunition anywhere concerning IQ-shooting- that's in the nature of "shooting" by light pulses!

• Handling our equipment is entirely safe. The class-1-laser light pulse is emitted for only a few milliseconds and will not cause any eye damage, even gazing directly in is harmless. This feature renders the equipment perfectly safe even for childrens' use.

• Hence the MMPs are in no rate weapon look alikes- there is no conceivable way of harming or defending oneself or others or even assault!

  The innovative MMPs are outfitted with the brand-new "LuminaBarrel", made of transparent glassy polymer with optional internal illumination and thus completely inoffensive.

• The "LuminaBarrel" or IQ-Container replace the traditional steel gun barrel, there are no projectiles, there is no shooting whatsoever i.e. nobody will ever get hurt!, the "LuminaBarrel" reduces the weight of the device by some kilograms and serves as fixture for the aiming mechanism (classic sights) only while looking quite modern and classy- for all intents and purposes

  • we aim and hit by a short light pulse discernable as a small red point of light.
  The class-1-laser used is entirely harmless in itself an for the user- it complies with the specifications of standard business laser pointers. Additionally the actual "laser-shot" only lasts a few milliseconds, eliminating all possible mishaps.
  • The MMP's design is constructed to be weight-adjustable, thus we may recommend the MMP for use by children 4 years up

• The target boxes, equipped with one pistol mark, 5 rows of biathlon-marks, or even our new MultiMedia target, the IQ-Sport-Matrix with 5x5 rowks of marks are easily and conveniently operated either by battery or by the provided power supply pack. The newly developed bus-technology allows you to link up to 99 target boxes to the controlling host computer.

  Since the IQ-devices will acquire further nonhazardous MultiMedia features in the future we decided on the general term of "MultiMediaPointer", the name of the model, e.g. "Biathlon" or "Pistol", designating the specialized purpose of the device. We use precision-made, tried and tested, popular and authentic original- and spare parts and component assemblies by our co-operation partner ANSCHÜTZ und Steyr, so you may experience a completely new and different sports shooting action.
